Mediation is a way to minimize the pain, anxiety and cost associated with a litigated divorce (or other family law matters). The mediator works with the parties to reach an agreement out of Court. With a full agreement, neither party has to set foot in a courtroom. Mediation is successful most of the time; even spouses experiencing high conflict can successfully utilize mediation.
If you are still unsure whether mediating your family law dispute is the right choice for you, read some comments from one recent participant:
- “It was much more affordable than hiring individual representation, and much faster.”
- “Alona was very knowledgeable, providing direction when needed and suggestions, but did not influence the decisions.”
- “The emotional and financial costs of divorce dwarf any wedding, funeral, or medical expense I have experienced. But this mediation, relative to the costs of the whole divorce, was not a major expense. There is so much inherent conflict and struggle in a divorce, for many years, at least this process was as calm and rational as humanly possible.”
